The new submersible man dressed as a submarine man will be working on a movie, the Hollywood Reporter has learned.
Hollywood legend and “submarine expert” Tony Bennett has hired the actor to dress as a man dressed up as a sub for a film called “Submarine Man” which is being produced by the studio, Universal Pictures.
The film is being written by Bennett, who is also producing with his partner, Steven Spielberg, and is due to be released in 2019.
The new sub will be the third sub-man to be featured in the film, which will also feature the original submarine and a character based on the real-life submarine engineer.
According to a source familiar with the project, Bennett will play the submarine man and will be dressed up in red.
The source said the film will be set on the fictional island of Subic Bay in the Philippines.
It is unclear if the film is related to Bennett’s “Aquaman” or the upcoming “Divergent” movie, which is set to star Elizabeth Banks.
Bennett is currently filming the movie “Captain Phillips,” which is slated to hit theaters in 2020.
