Now, don’t get too excited: the first five seasons of Stranger Things will be available for streaming later this year, and a full-length film is slated for release later this fall.
The series’ new season will debut in October and will follow the adventures of three kids living on a mysterious island where, according to a tweet from series co-creator Matt Duffer, the townspeople are obsessed with paranormal activity.
The show’s story takes place in the town of Hawkins, Indiana, where kids from a troubled youth group go on an adventure in search of their missing family.
In the meantime, a group of kids are living on the island, with their mom, dad, and brother in tow.
In a new interview with EW, Duffer revealed some new details about the new series, including how much Stranger Things is going to change his life: “It’s going to be weird.
It’s going be a different world,” Duffer said.
“I’ve been in a lot of strange places.
It will be very weird and very surreal.”
Stranger Things Season 1 stars Winona Ryder, Caleb McLaughlin, and Winona Miller, and it was directed by David S. Goyer.
