There’s no such thing as a submersible car wash.
You can’t just buy a small boat and paint it, and you can’t do it right in the dark.
Instead, you have to go out into the sea and do it yourself.
That’s what one man did when he was 18.
His name is Dan Zemmel and he spent the next decade painting underwater cars for fun.
But that’s not all he did.
He also painted cars for a living and, in 2012, he got a job painting submarines.
“It was just fun to paint underwater cars,” Zemel told HealthDay.
“It was kind of an odd hobby, but I guess I really enjoyed it.”
Zemmel said he had been painting cars for at least 20 years before getting the idea for a submarine carwash.
He started working in 2011 as a painter for a local car wash company and had the idea to paint submarines.
The idea of a submarine vehicle wash seemed perfect.
It would be a way to give back to the community that was doing something for the community.
“I really liked how it would give back something,” Zemsmel said.
“I didn’t think it would end up costing a lot.
It just felt right.”
When Zemels underwater car wash first opened in 2015, he had a crew of eight people and they were constantly moving around.
Zemelman said the first time he painted the submarine he had to paint the whole hull, so he had some paint leftover.
The paint was put into the ocean and it was very, very, wet.
“We would just go out there and paint them,” he said.
Zemel’s first submarine car was an American Navy submarine.
The company had recently bought the boat, but Zemelt said he wanted to give the ship a bit of personality.
“So I painted it in a blueish blue color,” Zeman said.
After Zemelo worked on the submarine car Wash, he decided to add a few things.
Zemsel wanted to add an additional part to the car wash so he decided the tank in the middle of the car was a bit too big.
He wanted a bigger tank so he filled the tank with a smaller one and added some paint.
“Then I added a second tank,” ZEMEL said.
The car wash is now open and Zemeling has painted more than a dozen underwater cars.
In all, he’s painted over 30 boats, from the USS Nautilus to the submarine USS Zemeledis.
Zeman said he has plans to paint a submarine for a museum soon.
He plans to build a large tank for the underwater display, so that’s something he’s definitely working on.
“The boat will have a nice look to it,” Zemeel said.
